A module that is in none of the repositories can be installed from its zip: a SWORD module packaged with its .conf file, as CrossWire's rawzip folder has them.
From a web address
- Open the module manager (⋮ in the reading view's footer → Modules), then ⋮ → Import.
- Type or paste the zip's address. It must start with
https://. Press and hold the field to get Paste.
- Tap Import.

A row at the top of the list shows the download's progress, with Cancel. The module is installed under the name in its .conf, and Bibles then show in the footer's Bible switcher. Like other downloads, an import carries on after the app is closed, and a failed one offers Retry and Cancel.

From a file on the phone
In the Import dialog, tap Choose a file…. The phone's Content Hub picker opens: choose an app that has the file (the File Manager for ~/Downloads), then the zip.
When an import is refused
- "… is already installed; remove it first": a module of that name is on the phone. Remove it in the module manager, then import again.
- Not a usable module: the zip has no
.conf, more than one, or files where another installed module keeps its data.
- Too big: a download over 1 GiB is refused before it starts.
