Deferred from review of PR #141 (mockup check, medium + low findings).

SystemColours.highlight (#F1ECE0 / #23222A, 6 px radius, artboard screens 6-8) is defined but unused: the reading pane has no selected/opened-verse background yet. Reason for deferral: it needs the verse-selection state and the reading-pane layout work of the following #95 PRs, not a colour-only change.
hairline, secondary and surface are used only partly: list separators, dialog (artboard #211F1C on #34312C border) and footer bar still take the Controls style's colours; they come with the layout PRs.

Blast radius: reading pane (trunk) for the highlight.
